What to Expect
We realize that the purchase of windows is not something most people do every day. We also understand that the average homeowner is going to have many questions about how it all happens. So here are your answers.
Typically we will start with an in home consultation. This gives us the opportunity to assess the scope of your project, take rough measurements of your windows, and give you an idea of your options. With the information gathered during this meeting, we will put together a quotation for you, often with various options, to give you an idea of the costs involved. If you would like to see samples of the windows we can set up an appointment at our showroom.
Once the details of the renovation are finalized, the order gets placed and we generally have a lead time of about 3 weeks for the windows. As the delivery date of the windows approaches we will contact you to arrange a date for installation. The average house of 12-18 windows will typically take 3-4 days to complete, depending on the installation style, and conditions of the house.
The installation
We will begin by using drop sheets in all the work areas.
We may begin the process of removing and installing several windows at once, but rest assured your house will always be completely sealed and secure at the end of each day.
At the end of each day there is a thorough clean up inside and outside your house.
Trim work is done, and then you’re ready for paint. Aside from that, you’re done!
